Room To Breathe (47)

 

This mix was '47' in my 'Year of Music' series of mixes. I've given it a fresh name and updated the cover, and as with all the previous posts of this nature, I've used the same photo as I did originally, just given it a different look.

The title of the mix really comes from the image, or the place that is in the image and the music within the mix. I think both give that sense of having room to breathe and it's one of the reasons I really enjoy ambient and abstract music. It's not as complex and to me, when I need it, less intrusive. Anyway, that's just a small insight into why I play what I play. For those who are interested, the image is a photo I took in the North West Scottish Highlands, slightly North of Ullapool. It's a magical place and it really does give you the feeling of having room to breathe, as long as the midge are not out!
