I don't remember exactly when this mix was put together. I think it might have been in the Autumn of 2018, but you could tell me it's a year older and I'd not know for sure. I've never had it posted on the blog for some reason. I suppose it kind of followed on from the mix I shared in my previous post 'The Fragility Of Life', and so when I explain (should you need it) that Dum Spiro Spero is a latin phrase that means something along the lines of 'While I breathe, I hope'. With everything that had gone on with my Mum I think that did sum up where my mind was - I'm still breathing, she's still breathing, so we hope for the best. Quite a few years have passed by since then and that feeling has been around for the most part, but the hope part feels like it's evaporated.
Anyway, that's the back story out the way. I really love the music and the flow of this one. It's had hardly any plays at all and I think that's perhaps because most people that followed me did so when I was playing house, tech house, then edits of disco and soul etc. So, as I started experimenting with other genres, play counts fell off a cliff. I don't mind, it's just a shame that a lot of people aren't open minded to lots of different music and approaches, I can't help but feel this music deserves mores ears, hence me sharing it in mixes (unsuccessfully).
